Orthophoto and DSM Analysis
The aerial data captured on September 14, 2024, reveals significant advancements in the Riverside Homes project. The Orthophoto and Digital Surface Model (DSM) provide a clear representation of the site’s layout and elevation variations, offering a comprehensive view of the ongoing construction efforts. Key observations from this week include:
Newly Established Foundations: Multiple new sections of the foundation have been completed, as evident in the orthophoto. The construction is expanding both horizontally and vertically, laying the groundwork for the development of future residential structures.
Structural Advancements: Several of the new structures have visible walls and framing. The north-central section shows steady progress, with the framework reaching a more advanced stage compared to last week.
Material Storage and Equipment Movement: The site is efficiently managing construction materials, with specific areas designated for equipment and material storage. This organized layout will ensure streamlined construction progress as we move forward.
Digital Elevation Insights: The DSM indicates that the maximum height of structures currently stands at approximately 1,337.81 meters, showing vertical progression since last week's report. The terrain elevation across the construction zone is steadily transforming, making way for further structural developments.
Data Accuracy and Survey Details
Using a DJI drone, the team captured 283 high-resolution images to create this week's orthophoto and DSM. The Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) is at 1.9 cm, ensuring a highly detailed and accurate visual representation of the site. Despite GPS errors averaging 5.24 meters, the relative horizontal and vertical accuracies (CE90 and LE90) were within acceptable limits, showcasing a reliable dataset.
Looking Ahead
As the Riverside Homes project continues to take shape, our drone-enabled monitoring will keep providing detailed weekly updates. With each new dataset, stakeholders can visualize the rapid progress, ensuring that every milestone is documented and analyzed thoroughly. This week's advancements in foundation work and vertical construction signal that the project remains on track, with further developments anticipated in the coming weeks.
