The Riverside Homes Project has made significant strides in its development, supported by precise aerial monitoring technology. Using the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom and advanced orthomosaic mapping software, we have captured high-resolution, data-rich images to provide detailed insights into the construction's progress.
On August 31, 2024, a comprehensive aerial survey was conducted, covering an area of 0.021017 km². The imagery was captured in a hyperlapse format with a Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) of 1.9 cm/pixel, ensuring exceptional accuracy and detail.
Capture Date: August 31, 2024
Area Covered: 0.021017 km²
Total Images Captured: 284
Average GSD: 1.9 cm/pixel
Processing Time: 1 hour, 14 minutes
Reconstructed Points (Dense): 33,836,246 points
Horizontal Accuracy (CE90): 1.172 meters
Vertical Accuracy (LE90): 7.486 meters
Two core deliverables were generated from the survey:
Orthophoto: A high-resolution, accurate top-down image that provides an aerial view of the entire construction site.
Digital Surface Model (DSM): A 3D model of the site's topography, highlighting the construction progress and changes in elevation.
These assets enable the construction team and stakeholders to assess the project’s development with incredible detail and precision.
A GSD of 1.9 cm/pixel signifies that every pixel in the aerial imagery represents 1.9 centimeters on the ground. This level of detail is essential for tracking the minutiae of construction progress, identifying potential issues early, and ensuring that every aspect of the project is aligned with design specifications.
Orthophoto and DSM: High-resolution images are available for stakeholders, aiding in marketing, project management, and site planning. These deliverables can be accessed via a dedicated Google Sites progress page, or integrated into the client's website upon request.
Further analysis and regular updates can be provided to ensure continuous monitoring and documentation of the construction progress.
